Position title: Graduate Student | Reactor Design & Analysis

Pronouns: she/her

I am a first-year PhD student researching novel control rod materials designed to extend their functional life within nuclear reactor cores. My work primarily involves modeling various geometries and conducting simulations using prospective neutron-absorbing materials within the SCALE deterministic code. My ultimate objective is to conduct multiphysics analyses on these materials and compare them with existing designs.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2023. My undergraduate thesis focused on the Full Core Neutronic Analysis and Implementation of the Radkowsky Thorium Fuel (RTF) Core in the Korean SMART Reactor.
