On February 22nd the NEEP department hosted our first annual Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day event put together by Communications Specialist Samantha Vold. Over 150 students from nine different Wisconsin high schools came to UW-Madison campus for tours of nuclear engineering labs, an engineering expo with local nuclear companies, as well as multiple panels of students and prominent women in the nuclear industry. ReTI members took part in this amazing event as volunteers and panelists, and also enjoyed a social hour with industry and academic partners.
